Tupelo’s Lex Rutledge, who named to the All-SoCon 2^nd Team and the Freshmen All-SoCon teams this season, will appear in the BNA Bank Cotton States League tonight for the Tupelo Thunder. Rutledge completed a spectacular freshman campaign at Samford University this season compiling a 5-1 record and amassing 11 saves to pace the Southern Conference.

 

Rutledge, a 26^th round draft pick of the Milwaukee Brewers out of high school, departs for the Cape Cod League on Friday but will take the field for his home town BNA CSBL club, the Thunder, tonight at 6:30 pm. The left-hander has been clocked consistently into the mid-90’s and remains a high draft prospect.
