Blue Mountain College will sponsor the expansion Tippah Country Tribe in the 2010 BNA Bank Cotton States Baseball League. 

Blue Mountain College was the sponsor of the Tallahatchie Rascals in 2009, but the Tippah County NAIA school accepted an offer from the CSBL to move their sponsorship to the expansion Tribe this season.  BMC President Dr. Bettye Coward informed the league of the school's decision in an email received this past week. 

"It seemed like a natural move," said league president Clark Richey,  "We felt like the fit with Tippah County would be a great one for Blue Mountain College.  Their Blue Mountain location is obviously a match for our expansion team and, even beyond that, their own Curt Fowler will coach the Tribe this season."  Fowler will be assisted by New Albany's Joel Gafford in 2010. 

"We are very proud of the CSBL's affiliation with Blue Mountain College and hope that our association benefits their baseball program and school," Richey added.
