Jets Blast Off With Thursday Workout, AdvantEdge Available to All League Players

AdvantEdgeSportsTupeloThe GT Jets launched their 2009 BNA Bank Cotton States Baseball League season with a Thursday practice at AdvantEdge Sports Tupelo. A dozen of the 18 rostered players were on hand for the initial workout which consisted of batting cage work for positional players and bullpens for the Jets pitching staff. AST is owned and operated by GT Jets head coach Jeff Hunter. JeffHunterHunter has additionally made his Tupelo facility available to all BNA CSBL Players for the duration of the season. The AST indoor practice facility is located at 3725 Cliff Gookin Blvd. in Tupelo and boasts numerous indoor batting cages and mounds as well as a fully equipped weight room.
 
GT Jets team sponsor Brian Hollis of Game Time Sports in Columbus was also in attendance for the 6 p.m. practice. Hollis, a representative of Akadema Pro sporting equipment, delivered the approximately 100 maple bats with which the BNA CSBL players will begin the season.  Akadema is the official bat sponsor of the BNA CSBL.
