Thunder Grabs SIAC Tournament MVP Smith on Draft Day

The Tupelo Thunder and Coach Shawn Hairald grabbed SIAC Tournament MVP Shannon Smith of Pontotoc on draft day this past Sunday.  Smith plays middle infield for the Stillman College Tigers in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and he was instrumental in the club taking their 3rd consecutive SIAC title just two weeks ago.  Smith hit over .400 for the Tigers and picked up three hits in Stillman's two Division II Regional Tournament contests.  The balance of the Thunder's final roster, including both base and drafted players, can be seen through the "THUNDER Players" link at their team site.
