Timmy Moore Named as Assistant for the Thunder

Coach Timmy Moore was recently named the Assistant Coach of the Tupelo Thunder for the 2011 season.  Coach Moore is a graduate of Walnut High School and played his collegiate baseball at Northeast Mississippi Community College. He earned his B.S. degree in Secondary Education at the University of Mississippi.
Coach Moore began his coaching career at Booneville High School in 1986 as an Assistant Coach to Andy Greening and served as Head Baseball Coach at Booneville from 1987 through 1991. He moved to Corinth High School and worked as an Assistant Coach to John Smillie for the 1992 and 1993 seasons. Moore has been at Walnut High School since 1993, working as Head Baseball Coach for 10 of those years. 
A 25 year coaching veteran, Moore has worked as Head Football Coach at Walnut High School for the last 18 years, except for a two year stint at Biggersville from 1999-2000. He was also an Assistant Football Coach while at Booneville and Corinth. He coached in the Mississippi High School All Star Game in 2008.
Moore has served on the NEMCABB Board of Directors and was inducted into the NEMCABB Hall of Fame in 2004. 
Coach Moore and his wife Sabrina have two children, Samantha (20), and Peyton (15).
