Stacy Hester to Coach in CSBL
Long time high school head coach Stacy Hester has agreed to coach the Golden Triangle Jets during the 2011 BNA Bank Cotton States season. Coach Hester, a pitcher for the legendary Boo Ferriss at Delta State, compiled a 679-175 record in 23 years as a head coach, including having five state championship and three runner-up teams. Along the way, his teams finished a perfect 43-0 and won 51 straight games.
Coach Hester was named the National Coach of the Year in 1997 and has served as an All-Star Coach, State Games Coach, and as the co-founder/director of Team Mississippi which competes in the Jr. Sunbelt Classic in Oklahoma annually.
Coach Hester is a member of the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), the High School Baseball Coaches Association (BCA), and was inducted into the Delta State Coaches Hall of Fame. Stacy and his wife, Ann, have been married for 31 years and have four daughters, Jennifer (30), Lauren (28), Neely (21), and Emily (17) as well as three granddaughters.
