Drew Dillard Named as Assistant of Tribe

Having concluded his successful playing career in college and the Cotton States League, Drew Dillard, a veteran of East Union High School, Northeast MS Community College, and Belhaven University has agreed to assist Coach Chip Wade of the Tribe during the 2011 season kicking off Saturday, June 4th at 1:00 p.m.

Chip Wade Named To Coach in CSBL

Chip Wade was named by league officials as the newest head coach in the BNA Bank Cotton States League. Coach Wade is an associate scout in the New York Mets organization as well as an assistant professor at Miss. State University.

Blue Mountain College To Sponsor Tippah Co. Tribe in 2010

Blue Mountain College will sponsor the expansion Tippah Country Tribe in the 2010 BNA Bank Cotton States Baseball League.

Blue Mountain College was the sponsor of the Tallahatchie Rascals in 2009, but the Tippah County NAIA school accepted an offer from the CSBL to move their sponsorship to the expansion Tribe this season. BMC President Dr. Bettye Coward informed the league of the school's decision in an email received this past week.

CSBL North to Add 5th Team in 2010: Tippah Co. Tribe

The Cotton States Baseball League North will add a 5th team for the 2010 season - the Tippah County Tribe. CSBL North President Clark Richey pointed to two factors in deciding to add a Ripley-based franchise to the 4-team group that launched the league in its New Albany location last season.
